Leadership in the 21st Century

Leadership in the 21st Century has provided new challenges to leaders and followers alike. Law enforcement has the opportunity to forge new inroads into relations with both agency employees and with the community. This course is designed to present the student with answers to these challenging issues by presenting new research on providing leadership. Leadership flows in multiple directions within an organization, not simply in the traditional downward process from management to first line. Various situations will be presented to students as they consider the most efficient and effective manner of providing leadership to followers, peers, supervisors, and others.
